Hamline Midway Coalition

Community Building Committee

Our Purpose
The purpose of the Hamline Midway Coalition’s Community Building Committee is to strengthen neighborhood relationships across Hamline Midway. We believe that our community is a stronger, safer, and more connected place to live when neighbors know each other.

Our Work
We strengthen neighborhood relationships through a variety of initiatives:

Hosting Community Events:

We organize fun and engaging events that bring residents together, creating opportunities for connection and camaraderie.

Supporting Neighbor-led Activities:

We assist our neighbors in planning and coordinating around their own events and ideas, empowering individuals to take an active role in community building.

Fostering Inclusivity:

We strive to create a welcoming and accessible environment, especially for new residents, ensuring everyone feels a sense of belonging.

Encouraging Volunteerism:

We provide opportunities for community members to volunteer and support one another, reinforcing the spirit of mutual aid and cooperation.

Community Building Committee meets on the 2nd Thursday of each Month from 6:30PM to 8:00PM in hybrid format in Room 240 of West Hall at Hamline University (1492 Hewitt Ave) on through Google Meet.
