Michael Malver

I have been involved with advocacy for the past 20 years. Primarily, it has been for people who are blind or who have low vision. Among other issues for which I have advocated are the creation of currency that has features people who are blind can touch to identify the bill’s denomination, and features appropriate to people who are visually impaired. I have also advocated for accessible voting options so that a person who is blind or visually impaired could mark a ballot without assistance. I enjoyed helping people who have ideas but might not know how to express them turn their notions into resolutions that can be presented to local or national representatives.  By day, I am a software engineer. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, live theater, and engaging with the world through social media and podcasts.
