Friendly Streets Survey Now Online!

If you missed the three Friendly Streets Block Parties this summer to gather community input on the potential reconstruction of Fairview Avenue, you can now weigh-in by filling out a survey online by January 15.

If you complete the survey and include your name and residential address, you will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift certificate to the Blue Door Pub or Lucy Coffee Cafe; you will also be eligible to win a bike lock.

This project is a collaboration between Hamline Midway and Union Park neighbors to imagine a friendlier Fairview for everyone, whether you’re traveling on two feet, four paws, or two or more wheels.

Fairview is a North-South street in St. Paul that is a major connection for many people and is suggested as a bike route by the City of St. Paul despite very unfavorable current conditions for cycling and being listed by Mayor Coleman as one of the worst 20 streets in Saint Paul. A section of Fairview received an emergency overlay this fall, but the possibilities don’t end with smoother pavement. The Friendly Streets Initiative is committed to helping neighborhood voices advocate for additional improvements to Fairview tailored to community needs and interests.

The online version of the Fairview Avenue survey is ready! Please click here to fill it out and share your ideas, concerns, and hopes for Fairview. Deadline for submitting your input is January 15th, 2015.
