The Mobile Nature Art Kiosk at Newell Park

Posted on November 3, 2020 - 1:45pm

The return of nice weather means the Nature Art Kiosk will continue on its journey around the neighborhood! Come to Newell Park to get a leaf printing kit and take in some of the season’s final warm days in the park. For a preview, or to help walk you through the activity, check out this video

Newell Park is situated in the northwest corner of Hamline Midway where Fairview Avenue North meets Hewitt Avenue. This expansive, 10-acre park is one of the oldest in St. Paul and was dedicated in 1908. The park’s central pavilion is a well-known place for community gatherings dating back to the 1930’s and is still used for recreation activities and as a picnic area. The park offers great tree cover and a wide variety of amenities that include a basketball court, softball field, playground, benches, a fire pit, bbq grill, and restroom facilities.

(note: limited quantities of kits are being produced and they can only be offered as first-come, first-served)
