Newell Park Pavilion
900 North Fairview Avenue

The Department of Parks and Recreation has been working with community representatives to develop a conceptual design for Dickerman Park. After three meetings of the Design Advisory Committee, they are looking for your feedback!

Plans will be displayed for you to view and discuss at a community open house, February 17 from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Newell Park Pavilion. There will be a short presentation at 6:00 pm, followed by the opportunity to review the plans and graphics, talk with Design Advisory Committee members and city staff, and provide feedback.

The City is seeking funding to construct the park, which is on the north side of University Avenue between Fairview and Aldine. The advent of the Green Line; the associated redevelopment in the Fairview Station area; and the lack of visible public green space along the corridor, makes Dickerman Park an exciting opportunity to create an authentic landmark gathering space that reflects the surrounding community.
