Start checking-off your holiday shopping list with gifts that have a Midway twist. This year, it’s easier than ever to shop local for the holidays. The Midway Holiday Pop-up Shop will be held on Small Business Saturday, November 28, at The Celtic Junction, 836 Prior Ave, from noon to 6:00 p.m.
You’ll find dozens of local businesses, crafters, artisans and artists—all from in and around the Midway area—selling a wide range of local goods and gifts for everyone on your shopping list. Santa Clause himself will be showing his support for local businesses, too. He’ll be dropping in between 2:00 P.M. and 4 P.M. So, bring the kids to share their wishes, and come enjoy live music and carols, ornament decorating, holiday stories, holiday baked goods and more—all while you support our local businesses, and fill your holiday list with gifts from close to home.
Toys for Tots Donations
We'll be collecting donations for toys for tots at the event, so please bring along a gift or two to donate to a family and child in need this holiday season.
Volunteers are needed to make this event a success, from helping with ornament decorating, to bake sale assistance and gift wrapping, there are lots of ways for you to get involved and help make this event a success! If you have some holiday spirit to share, please signup for a volunteer shift or two here. All shifts are for 2-hour increments.
Be a Vendor at the Midway Holiday Pop-up Shop (Deadline Passed)
The deadline to signup to be a vendor is now passed. If you'd like to be kept informed for next year, feel free to email Greg Anderson to be put on the potential vendor list for 2016.
Are you a local or home-based business, crafter, artisan, or artist? Are you based in or near the Hamline Midway neighborhood? Apply to be a part of the Midway Holiday Pop-up Shop. It’s a great opportunity to connect with the community and find new customers, while being part of a festive and fun holiday celebration. Interested vendors can fill out the short application form here (www.hamlinemidway.org/holidayshop/apply). Due to limited space, vendors will be selected based on proximity to the neighborhood and items to be sold. Selected vendors will pay a one-time fee of $15 to participate.
